Job Details
Overview:
? Provide technical service for product. Handle proper technical reports and escalation and communication with supplier for issues
? Provides product application engineering support to the customer base, sales and engineering organizations, and the assigned American Tec product teams. Obtains full understanding of the customer's technical application needs, both existing and evolving, and determines the proper application of American Tec's products and solutions to satisfy those needs.
? Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the technical specifications and capabilities of assigned American Tec products, and uses excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to meet customer expectations.
Job responsibilities: Functional Responsibilities:
? Application support related :
- Provides support both before and after the sale, such as installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and repairing and coordinates all issues with the appropriate product team and sales to insure an accurate, detailed understanding and timely resolution of customer expectations and ongoing requirements
- Assists sales engineer and customer in evaluating feasibility and alternatives utilizing American Tec products and solutions.
- Provide on-site support, handling project and evaluation project to support customer requirement.
- Evaluates prospective new applications, obtain all relevant information and specifications from the potential customer, identifies suggestions, determines estimate of work required to achieve results, and determines feasibility of an application for solutions.
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the technical specifications and capabilities of American Tec’s products.
? Technical support related :
- Assists/supports sales and customers via telephone, FAX, email, or correspondence to resolve problems associated with the operation, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of American Tec’s products.
- Analyzes reports of technical problems to identify trends affecting future design, production, service and maintenance processes; may recommend design or process modifications to avoid future problems.
- Communicates regularly with leaders and supplier; Provides recommendations for solutions to field product issues.
- Visits customer sites to collect data on improvements to American Tec products, gain feedback from customer on outstanding product issues, assist field engineering, or to provide technical assistance or training.
- Conducts regular Customer satisfaction surveys.
- Maintains up-to-date product documentation on assigned products. Responsible for keeping abreast of product improvements for problem resolutions and technical details of new product introductions. Communicates information to sales and field organization.

? Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department; may include budget development and control.
? Establishes and implements team/individual Critical Success Factors, including the measurement and documentation of the progress of each employee toward the established goals.
? Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work-related problems.
? Performs other job-related duties as required


Occupation Analysis (Employee Profile)
Education: ? University graduated in electronics or related technical field
Language: ? Precise technical written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English and Mandarin languages.
Professional Experience: ? Min.6 years hands on SMT field service experience on SMT and or related to capital equipment or electro-mechanical equipment and inspection machine, preferably Fuji SMT Brand of equipment
? Min. 2 years experience in electronics PCB assembly and/or capital goods industry OR Associate's degree or Diploma in a technical field and a level of technical knowledge which would normally be associated with college-level courses, plus two to four years experience in the electronics PCB assembly industry and computing, programming skills.

Skills:
? Must be self motivated and have the ability to prioritize workload and complete assignments in a cross-functional team environment.
? Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality: Adheres to American Tec Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
? Position requires the ability to understand and interpret detailed documents and specifications.
? Requires the ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
? Requires the ability and confidence to make customer presentations to all organizational levels.
? Must be able to communicate clearly with fellow workers.
? The ability to travel to customer sites or technical conferences is frequently required.
? Team player, positive attitude, able to work in flexible hours

? Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite
? Excellent troubleshooting skills
