Continuous Improvement Specialist

Overview:

Continuous improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes, to better match customer and business needs. These efforts can seek "incremental" improvement over time or "breakthrough" improvement all at once.

This is a full time position within the FSSC (Financial Shared Service China) organization reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager. The candidate will interact at all levels of the organization and across all functions of the company. This person will work directly with the respective FSSC function managers and teams to drive globally consistent processes that facilitate effective business partnering and a culture of continuous improvement. He or she shall take a series of actions to identify, analyze and improve existing business processes to meet new goals and objectives such as increasing profits and performance, reducing costs and eliminating waste.

The scope of work will also potentially include:

• Support and monitor individual project teams and deployment plans, organize tasks, time, resources and people at Site and Global Process levels.
• Collaborate with FSSC, BU and other functional teams and make sure that all departments come together in a timely manner to complete the overall goal.
• Develop and improve standard work for the respective FSSC functional teams
• Monitor progress against plans and achievement of continuous improvement and progression to higher star assessment levels at all site levels
• Understanding customer (Internal or External) requirements and drive waste reduction from a customer point of view.
• Coordinate TEOA-F initiatives with functional teams in order to achieve global consistency and standardization.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels of the Company.
• Ability to communicate and interact with senior management.
• Accountable for performing the requirements of the process.

• Independent, Self-confident and Persuasive.
• Problem recognition, observes, listen and ask questions to understand the problems.
• Team player with ability to establish and build consensus while insuring decisiveness and quality of decisions.
• Strong project management skills and experience leading continuous improvement projects with proven results
• Ability to schedule tasks and coordinate with various team members to accomplish the results
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience utilizing Microsoft Office, SharePoint and other technology to develop tools and training materials that facilitate lean management on an enterprise level
• Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
• Previous experience in business process improvement programs and activities. (TEOA, Kaizen, etc.) preferred
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
• 3-5 years of professional experience in finance department
• Travel required: < 5%
