General Description:
l Incumbent is responsible for leading the Beijing Plant team to drive business results.
l Develop a highly effective leadership team and work on a strategic level to drive the organization in line with established LRP and strategic objectives and in accordance with company’s policies,guidelines, and objectives. Focus on customer management in the China market, product launch,manufacturing operations excellence and financial control.
Key Accountabilities:
l Responsible for all aspects of Beijing plant’s business, including full P&L, direct responsibility for all operations, sales, engineering, program management, purchasing, finance and HR .
l Work with JV partner to maximize efficiency and profitability.
l Responsible for driving product and customer strategies. Build strategic relationships with key customers. Provide leadership in growing the business in China.
l Develop and implement the annual long-range plan, ensuring that all the targets are met or exceeded.
l Review and approve capital appropriations and investment requests up to the approval limit.
l Build effective team, including strong management team, and ensure successors for key positions are being developed; provide leadership and coaching / mentoring of talent pipeline.
l Drive operational excellence in plant, including effective operations, supply chains, quality, lean manufacturing and EHS systems.
l Oversee program and product launch.
l Communicate effectively with teams in Beijing plant to optimize use of resources and know-how.
l Coordinate and collaborate as necessary with the global organization.
l Foster and develop a working environment which encourages cooperation and exchange of knowhow and ideas.
l Able to drive necessary change and secure cooperation without direct authority.
l Promote communication among other plants in China.
l Provide weekly and/or monthly management reports to higher-level management.
l Commitment and adherence to Company’s Code of Ethical Conduct policies and practices will be obligatory.
l Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements will be essential.
l As a member of Global Core Team, help define global strategies and processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
l Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other discipline from a credible institution.
l Master of Engineering and/or MBA a plus.
l 10+ years of manufacturing and general management experience
l Previous experience working for global organization, with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of corporate policies, procedures and systems.
l Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
l Excellent understanding of manufacturing operations, including Six Sigma or lean manufacturing experience.
l Excellent presentation, interpersonal, problem solving, and project management skills.
l Excellent leadership skills with proven track record developing, motivating, mentoring and leading effective teams.
l Strong background in general management, financial management, business development, sales and marketing with strong business analytical skills.
l Strong background in program management.
