This role is an influential business leader/partner with IT responsibility for Stryker's Suzhou, China, manufacturing facility within the Global IT organisation.

Key responsibilities:
? Active participation in the International IT group leadership team, setting strategy and direction and actively shaping IT demand with the business users
? Ensure transparency & understanding of ITO strategy, policies, standards & service level expectations
? Ensure the satisfaction of end users with service offerings & service levels
? Protect the achievement of IT objectives and business objectives in the IT area
? Partner with other business and group/division-level IT leaders to ensure good communication and consistent IT experiences across Stryker
? Partner with IT service delivery leadership (application solutions, infrastructure) and PMO to ensure good communication and consistent strategy and direction
? Review and approve CERs
o Ensure all proposals follow project prioritization and architecture process
? Serve as senior most IT leader for the Suzhou site:
? Develop rapport with group-level and division-level leadership; engage them on strategic business issues
? Participate in strategy development for the divisions, ensuring IT capabilities and needs are represented in the planning process
? Understand the business strategy and business processes at the divisional and enterprise level
? Manage demand and expectations at division level
? Proactively bring IT solutions to the business to solve business problems; apply IT capabilities to business needs at the group and division level
? Facilitate prioritization and advocate for the group in the project prioritization process
? Serve as escalation point for issues as needed
? Manage budgets and financial approval processes as necessary

Key accomplishments (90 days):
? Connect with business and IT managers in your business
? Understand Suzhou facility business strategy, direction and needs
? Ensure IT roadmap is aligned with the business direction - identify and escalate gaps as needed

Key accomplishments (12 months):
? Develop an IT strategic plan for Suzhou aligned with the IT roadmaps
? Participate in specific learning and development for IT director/manager role
? Set up partnering and communication processes to ensure alignment of business and IT goals

Desired Skills, Experience and Education
? Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, MBA is a plus
? 7 years IT and/or operational business/process experience required; 10-15+ years experience preferred
? Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
? Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with broad range of individuals including executive-level customers
? Demonstrated ability to effectively interact remotely (phone, email, etc.) and across countries/cultures
? Demonstrated ability to lead by influence rather than control
? Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills required
? Experience working in two or more countries preferred


Travel: 25% (discretionary)
