Responsibilities:

1. Comprehending software design specifications and identifying the technical behaviour of software component

2. Analysing and resolving defects raised from software component;

3. Software unit testing and integration testing;

4. Software design specifications updating;

5. Communicating with Global Product Development Team, Global Product Application Support Team, Global Marketing Team, etc.;

Requirements:

The candidate will be required to have competency in the following disciplines:

1. Bechelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation or Industrial Control and Automation;

2. Minimum 5 years experience in embedded real-time software development;

3. Practical knowledge of UML for software architecture/design documentation;

4. Good understanding of ARM, PPC and DSP architecture;

5. Experience in the use of real time operating system, e.g. Nucleus, VxWorks, etc.;

6. Excellent programming skills in C/C++;

In addition to the above requirements, experience in at least of the following skills would be advantageous,

1. Experience in Safety/Critical software development;

2. Experience in the use of QNX and DSP/BIOS;

3. Experience with Rational software management tools, e.g. ClearCase, ClearQuest, etc.;

4. Good appreciation of unit testing and integration practices;

5. Domain knowledge in the areas of Power System Protection, Measurement, Control & Communications engineering;
