Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

• Analyze BD opportunities in line with GE China’s growth strategy and the strategies of GE Businesses in China. • Work with the BDMs and MDs on the target valuation process (cash flow, asset base, comparables, etc.) including definition of purchase price, 10-year business plan, and identification of synergies and structure of the deal • Support all aspects of the deal process including target screening, valuation, due diligence, deal structure, contract negotiation, deal communication process (internal and external), and closing process • Gather, analyze, conceptualize, and interpret quantitative and qualitative information to support problem-solving approaches within the deal process • Identify and maintain database used for business development analysis and effort • Build relationships with target companies and identify the key decision makers and decision-making process at target companies. • Contact potential M&A partners and present GE China to convince target companies to progress discussions. • Serve as a regional expert in the market with respect to assessing new business growth opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

• MBA/CA/CFA preferred and/or at least two years experience in Strategy Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Strategic Planning, Financial Analysis or GE Corporate Audit Staff • Willingness to travel significantly at times• Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese• Core grounding in valuation techniques with advanced modeling and analytical skills• Established analytical ability• Ability to gather, analyze, conceptualize, and interpret quantitative and qualitative information to support problem-solving approaches• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, including leading a small team of consultants to develop client deliverables or solutions• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skillsWork Traits• Strong executive presence and communication skills• Outstanding business judgment• Demonstrable high energy and the ability to energize othersValues• Demonstrated acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral and personal values.• Ability to inspire others to reach higher• A proven track record of overcoming obstaclesGrowth Traits• Clear Thinker - Simplifies strategy into specific actions, makes decisions and communicates priorities• Expertise - Continually strives to increase industry/technology depth to impact growth• Inclusiveness – Requires ability to work and coordinate with many internal and external stakeholders
