Global Decision Science (GDS) Team, as part of GE Capital, is providing off shore advanced analytical service to Marketing and Risk function mainly in both consumer finance (branded as GE Money in several markets) and commercial finance business within GE Capital. We excel in the analytical work of Predictive Analytics, Portfolio Segmentation, Model Development, Strategy Design, Portfolio Analysis, MIS/Dashboards, Consulting and etc.

Role Summary/Purpose

Provide Decision Sciences support to GE businesses through project-based work under very close collaboration with local database-marketing and risk teams in regions / countries.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work directly with client teams to deliver customized Decision Sciences solutions to the GE businesses • Translate business problems into manageable pieces; apply statistical procedures and decision sciences tools to develop actionable business solutions; Including, but not limited to: Decision trees. Scorecards and other regression techniques and optimization. • Lead projects to develop and implement decision tools including response models, net conversion models, customer level profitability models and clusters • Use statistical procedures to identifying drivers of losses, growth and profitability of consumer loan portfolio, and to highlight business issues / opportunities • Optimize multiple scorecards, develop selection criteria as well as related strategies to assist sales promotions and marketing campaigns across customer lifecycle • Interpret statistical conclusion into business solution and collaborate for successful implementation in a cross-functional environment • Develop new modeling methodology and perform regular diagnostics to assess model performance

Qualifications/Requirements

• MS or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Management Science • Fluent English communication competence is a must• Highly skilled at data extraction, manipulation, and warehousing tools (Specifically SAS)• Excellent analytic capability with advanced statistics application knowledge (Specifically multivariate and discriminant analysis, CHAID, genetic algorithms, multiple and logistic regression)• Experience in developing quantitative statistics models in a consumer environment• Strong communication, summarization & presentation skills, team player • Basic knowledge in some of fields in Consumer Finance / Cash Flow / Credit / Collections / Risk Management / Database Marketing / Data-mining is valued
