Role Summary/Purpose

The Sales Leader is responsible for leading Customer sales activities. In this role, you will translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to external environment, and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development. In this role, you will:


Essential Responsibilities

• Be responsible for leading the Joint Venture team for the customer in all aspects of account growth including strategy development, integrated account planning, opportunity identification, and value communication • Build relationships to position the JV business for emerging opportunities – Customers, government, strategic partners, acquisition targets, etc. • Develop business capture plans in support of Mission Systems strategy • Be responsible for JV Business covering all its product and service areas • Secure sales in line with Operating Plan, and maintain and develop growth plans (i.e. Growth Playbook) • Work closely with internal business customers (Finance, Contracts, etc) to deliver winning bids and to close sales • Work cohesively with Product Line managers in a matrix organization to build a global, world-class Sales Organization • Set sales strategy to execute on Multi-generational product plans, delivering 2012 & beyond revenue targets • Define entitlement and identify areas to penetrate and grow profitability • Have strong interface with the marketing organization to drive high value solutions leveraging the JV portfolio • Serve as a conduit for the JV’s detailed understanding of customer’s business model and how the JV’s products and services develop and deliver added value to the customer • Build customer relationships and communication at all levels • Drive At the Customer, For The Customer (ACFC) programs with key focus on deepening customer relationships and direct demand generation • Matrix with existing functional and P&L teams to achieve growth objectives • Have the ability to structure, price, negotiate and close deals • Successfully interface with JV Corporate and GE and AVIC parent companies as required • Utilize six sigma tools and methodologies to drive improvements in key processes for the customer


Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college • Minimum of 3 years of experience in direct sales or customer account leadership

• Master's Degree in Business Administration • Previous experience in business development or building growth plans • Avionics sales experience• Product marketing exposure• Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business solutions• Six Sigma Black Belt certification • Able to effectively interface with and maintain relationships at all levels of internal and external customers• Strong oral and written communication skills• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
