职位描述

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support

Product Identification, Configuration and Development

Translate customer needs into current, modified or new TE products and configurations.

Consulting both Internal and External Customers

As a technical expert for products and applications. Answer technical questions with recommendations pertinent to the customers needs. Prepare and deliver parts lists, quotations, drawings and equipment schematics for TE products. Provide technical presentations and training to internal and external customers.

Source of Product Information

Advise customers of features, functions, interfaces and other specifications as needed.

Post-Sales Support

Resolve customer questions or complaints on TE products.

Provide technical training to internal and external customers including on-site training.

Training and Technical Knowledge

Product Training

Key team member assisting as technical expert in advising, preparing product training and presenting material.

· Product Knowledge

Maintain the highest level of application engineering expertise and product knowledge through completing various courses, seminars, seeking out key individuals, etc. on a continuous basis.

Requirements

Communication: Professional, direct, clear and concise. Keep people informed. Listen effectively to others. Put emphasis on listening to the customers concern, gather and draw out the necessary information. Fluency must be in written and speaking skills.

Technical Problem Analysis Capabilities: Ability to take a systematic approach to solving customer problems with TE products. Use of test instrumentation for both copper and fiber networks. Other skills include understanding product schematics, product documentation, and prints. Strong understanding of telecommunications equipment, networks and services.

Teamwork: Effective at working in team situations. Key technical contributor.

Initiative/Results Orientation: Originate action. Know how to assess situations. Find ways to get things done.

Quality: Promote continuous improvement. Effectively utilizes data.

Customer Responsiveness: Respond well to internal or external customers needs.

Education:

BSc in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Systems

Language: Fluency in Mandarin and English.

Experience: (Describe years and types of experience (or knowledge) a person would normally have to enter this position.)

Five years+ in the telecommunications industry in a related technical capacity.

Analog and Digital Transmission Systems
Copper and Fiber Main Distribution Frames, and cable management
Telecom equipment; Switches, Multiplexers, PBX, CSU/DSU , coax and test equipment
Wireless Systems
FTTH Solutions
Enterprise, Data Center & Telecom Network
Structured Cabling
Central Offices
Outside Plant
Head End Offices
SDH & Metro IP Network design
Network operation and maintenance
Telecom equipment; Switches, Multiplexers, PBX, CSU/DSU, coax and test equipment
Professional Selling Skills
Preparing network proposals and tender response

Other: About 30% travel in support of trade shows, road show, customer training, field service, etc.
