Summary:
- Successfully lead and deploy the TEOA Lean/Six Sigma methodology across the organization. Personally master and demonstrate knowledge of the tools, techniques and skills - statistical, lean, team building and leadership to the TEOA team with the objective of establishing, communicating and implementing the strategic and tactical plans towards achieving TEOA Five Star target within Consumer Solutions operations.
- This role will assume management responsibility for assembly manufacturing engineering, leading direct reports to identify machine and tooling requirements, analyze assembly processes using statistical and TEOA techniques, and qualification and improvement of those processes with the objective of successfully releasing such processes into mass production on time, at yield, and with the expected output within the scope of new product development. This person may also lead others in work including, but not limited to, areas such as work instruction development, operator training, EHS qualification, and continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Roles and Responsibilities on Continuous Improvement

1. Planning and Budgeting
Develop and conduct the TEOA Lean/Six Sigma training, team building, projects review, competition and awards, team activities, in order to achieve yearly cost saving target and TEOA development plan, enhance TEOA members capability and promote TEOA Lean/Six Sigma culture.

2. Policies and Procedures
Assist function Leader in developing the strategy and implementing the tactical plans to deploy TEOA Lean/Six Sigma methodology at all levels of the Business Unit. Implement CSD Operations TEOA Policies & Procedures Manual,in order to support the CSD TEOA deployment.

3. TEOA Lean/Six Sigma Projects Development
Work with Organizational Executives and Leaders to identify, classify and prioritize the TEOA Lean/Six Sigma projects that are aligned with the key tenets of the Business Unit Strategic Plan and that are focused on the key imperatives of TE Connectivity: quality, delivery, cost and growth;

4. TEOA Lean/Six Sigma Training and Team Development
Delivers Black Belt training; and assists the organizational leadership team with the selection of Black Belts; and assists the Corporate TEOA Team with company wide training of Champions and Black Belts, in order to coordinate and drive the CSD TEOA development and team building.

5. Projects Review and TEBIT Cost saving
Review improving projects program with each site TEOA-six sigma Leaders; Monitor the TEOA Lean/Six sigma projects cost saving and report to management and feedback to each site six sigma leader the performance, in order to meet our Yearly cost saving target, and TEOA star strategic and tactical plans.

Roles and Responsibilities on ASM Management:

1. Engineering Management
Direct and lead assembly engineering, delivering clear job responsibilities, overseeing project progress, providing direction on expectations, developing training plans in line with employee career and skill development needs, perform periodic employee reviews, and report to management on a timely basis the status, issues and support required to meet project objectives

2. Mfg Assembly Process Development and Cost Assessment
Lead the assembly engineering team to define new product assembly processes, assembly equipment development, and cost assessments in order to ensure successful transfer to mass production, on time, and at yield

3. Define the Assembly Process Strategy
Lead the assembly engineering team to develop assembly process strategies within product platforms that are in alignment with BU objectives, maximize synergies, minimize complexities, and leverages CD supply chain

4. Process improvement and standardization
Support operations with continuous process improvement efforts, identifying and analyzing potential problem areas, verifying corrective action effectiveness, and incorporating improvements in standard operating procedures

Desired Skills & Experience

1. Education, Technical Qualification & Experience
- Technical (science or engineering) Degree, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or a documented path to achieve certification.
- Experience using lean production concepts and strategies
- Experience driving operational improvements through the use of six sigma techniques
- Experience developing assembly tooling, fixtures, and automation preferred
- 10 years working experience
