Job Description

Field Sales

- Develop national and regional Distribution, Sales, - and Merchandising targets (short, mid and long term) .

- Develop and implement strategies for new or under-developed trade channels.

- Implement regular and standardized analysis & reporting of actual business-performance (customer sales, Distributors sales, product-sales, distribution, and merchandising) versus agreed targets.

- Define and implement corrective measures in case of deviations versus targets

- Lead the various distributors in terms of sales, distribution and (Trade-) Marketing

- Implement relevant sales force management & reporting tools.

- Initiate product and sales trainings for the sales organization. Identify training gaps & train accordingly.

- Management of price levels and trade margins.

- Provide logistics function with regular sales-forecasts by product.

- Lead the change management to continuously develop and grow.\

Key Account Management

- Coach the KA Team on KA Management.

- Lead all the annual Contract negotiations and achieve Company targets.

- Manage performance, regular business reviews and negotiations with national and selected regional key accounts in all aspects (listings, rebate structure, outlet-distribution, sales, merchandising, promotions, logistics).

- Initiate and implement tailor made Promotions and Trade- Marketing projects.

Distributor Management

- Together with the Distributor Manager, accelerate the Distributors Business, regularly business review and negotiation with distributors.

- Together with the Distributor Manager initiate and implement distributor selection and cooperation.

Marketing

- Establish Yearly (Sales- and) Marketing Budgets and Plans.

- Support the development of suitable product assortment and price positioning.

- Monitoring of local market and competitive activities.

People Management & Leadership

- Provide training and personal development to all members of the sales organization fully exploiting their potentials.

- Providing adequate resources to the sales organization including.

o quality and quantity of members of the sales organization.

o quality and quantity of technical equipment.

o necessary information needed to develop, execute and monitor appropriate plans.

o training necessary to ensure good performance of individuals but also effectiveness of the total sales organization.

o consultancy to the sales organization to overcome problems or facilitate / accelerate activities.

Job requirements

- At least 10 years managerial experience in Sales and Trade-Marketing of International branded consumer products in China.

- Experienced in guiding, leading and motivating a team, knowledge of personnel assessment tools, career path planning.

- Proven track record on sales and profit development in mid- to large size business is expected

- Proven distributor setup and management experience.

- Can accelerate the Distributors Business, can support on Distributor issues.

- Experience in International Company, consumer business, and Non Food industry is preferable.

- Good knowledge and experience in creating and implementing

o Sales and Distribution Plans

o Trade-Marketing Tools and category management

o Marketing plans

- Good knowledge of trade structure and sales-force management

- Deep knowledge and experience in consumer products marketing mix.

- Flexible and able to work with a distributor – network

- Overview knowledge on processes and principles of a P&L statement and financial key figures

- Overview knowledge on processes and principles in Supply Chain Management and Production / Product development

- Experience in preparing PowerPoint presentations

- Knowledge of relevant software tools (MS Office etc.)

- Excellent English in written and oral.

- Education university degree is a must.
