About Tax

Tax and regulatory issues are on top of the mind for many companies operating around the world today. As a tax professional, you’ll help organisations and individuals to maximise their tax efficiency and manage their tax risks. You’ll achieve this through the advice you give to your clients on conducting proper tax planning, and helping them to fully meet their tax compliance obligations.

Taxation in a fast-paced business environment is exciting and intellectually stimulating. To meet the challenges, you’ll need to constantly develop your tax knowledge and research skills. As you progress, you’ll likely become specialised in certain specific areas of tax and/or industry segments.

The Tax Technology team is responsible for all technology based business solutions for the Tax division in the China and Hong Kong region. Moreover, the team serves as a contact point and liaison for other territories within as well as outside the Asia-Pacific region in relation to tax technology. We work closely with both the tax professionals and IT specialists within the Firm to support the systems life cycle of concurrent tax technology projects so as to deliver best-in-class technology-based business solutions to our tax professionals and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for leading the design, development, delivery and maintenance of tax data analytics software;
2. Evaluate and select alternative technical solutions for identified requirement;
3. Work with onshore team to clarify business needs into product features, acting as a bridge between business users and technical team;
4. Resolve technical issues and provide technical support. Provide technical guidance and assistance to other software developers;
5. Responsible for SDLC and change management process deployment;
6. Prepare staffing plan and allotment of resources;
7. Resolve any issue/conflicts within own set of projects;
8. Achieve on time and quality project deliverables within budget;
9. Improve customer/user satisfaction by way of effective communication, managing expectation and meeting commitments; and
10. Keep abreast of technical and organizational developments in own professional field.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree or above in computer science or related discipline;
2. Above 8 years related working experience;
3. Have experience in leading 5+ developers in performing software design and
development;
4. Good understanding of the software life cycle development process;
5. Must be well versed in software development analysis and design (UML);
6. Good at .NET(C#), Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns;
7. Qualified English language skill in both written and spoken;
8. Good communication, documentation and interpersonal skill;
9. Positive, enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated;
10. Good team-work spirit; and
11. Strong responsibility and flexibility under work pressure.
