Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for design, development and implementation of customized mechanical tooling, fixtures, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
· Tooling cost reduction. (New materials, processes and creative designs.)
· Support purchasing and supplier quality engineers for mechanical parts sourcing and localization
· Establish and manage tooling schedule and metal/plastic parts schedule to meet project time line
· Provide tooling and plastics/metal parts design and manufacturing expertise to development team. Including tooling and molding feasibility analysis, post-molding scheme, design for manufacturing / assembly analysis
· Support quality engineer for tooling and mechanical parts qualification
· Troubleshooting to resolve manufacturing issues related to injection molding process, tooling fabrication, stamping, die casting, cosmetic decorating and labeling
Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience in tool manufacturing and mechanical parts development
· Capable of managing tooling development projects independently
· Intermediate knowledge of part (plastic / sheet metal / die cast / extrusion) development and manufacturing processes
· Strong project management skills; orientation to detail analysis and milestone targets for multiple projects
· Thorough technical understanding on injection molding process, tooling structure design and manufacturing technology. Hands-on experience with over mold/ insert molding a huge plus
· Wide practical knowledge on post-molding processes, eg. printing, painting, plating, hot stamping, vacuum metallization, laser etching, ultrasonic welding, etc.
· Experience with metal stamping, die casting, extrusion and anodizing preferred
· Practical knowledge of common quality metrics and continuous improvement techniques such as SPC, DOE, Gage R&R and FMEA
· Good command of AutoCAD, Pro-E. Hands-on experience with over mold/ insert molding/cosmetics treatment a huge plus
· Team player, self-motivated
· Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English
· BS degree or above in Tooling or Mechanical Engineering

Candidates with more experience and good qualification will be considered as Senior or Mechanical Manager.
