职位描述
Responsibility
1.Utilize JOC (jobs, outcomes & constraints), VOC (voice of customer) methodologies & surgical procedure knowledge to define product & design options.
2.Provide innovative product, system & component design solutions.
3.Perform detailed design analysis & provide input or approval for detailed design specifications.
4.Establish appropriate testing strategy to insure adequate safety factors or margins.
5.Perform product testing to insure adequate safety factors or margins.
6.Formalize concepts, breadboards & prototyping.
7.Provide support to patent attorneys for patent filing.
8.Consult with materials technology group for biomaterial approvals.
9.Assist in developing & monitoring project plan, budget, contingency plans & work estimation.
10.Coordinate integration of complex sub-system product designs.
11.Develop free-body diagrams; Calculate stress & strain values; Formulate tolerance stack-ups.
12.Work Environment: Office, laboratory, surgical and manufacturing facilities
Qualifications
1.Bachelor Degree or above with discipline of mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
2.5+ year working experiences in design for mechanical devices.
3.Effective oral, written, & presentation communications in English/Mandarin
4.Effective team interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within diverse cultural environments
5.Able to take initiative & be self-managing
6.General design engineering principles
7.Design of experiments (DOE)
8.DFMA (design for manufacturing and assembly) principles
9.Patent interpretation
10.Test development and execution
11.Free-body & stress-strain analysis & FEA (finite element analysis)
12. Geometric tolerance & tolerance stack-up analysis (GD&T)
13.Gage repeatability & re-calibration system & methodology
14.Plastic resins, ferrous & nonferrous metals, adhesives & sealants
15.Personal computer software - Windows: word processing, project planning, presentation, e-mail & spreadsheet software
16.Special design analysis software, (e.g., FEA, mold flow)
17.CAD / CAM software proficiency
