Qualification:
1. Technical education background (Major in mechanical engineering, can read drawings)
2. Familiar with mechanical operations
3. Knowledge in the field of heat treatment/induction hardening of advantage
4. Knowledge about supplier development/supplier quality/audit systems (preferred: ISO:TS)
5. Knowledge about production planning/logistics/supply chain management
6. Practical experience in production/toolshop, CNC programming,..
7. Experience with audits/SPC/quality systems

Responsibilities:
1. Creation of purchasing strategy for relevant material groups
2. Supplier Selection (find potential suppliers, evaluate, negotiate)
3. Lead cross functional teams for cost down projects (technical, design, order process, check costs, packaging costs, handling & transportation cost, inventories)
4. Alignment with global purchasing team/lead buyers
5. Supplier Assessment
6. Creation & Maintenance of data in relevant systems
7. Calculation & Reporting of KPIs
8. Participation for Make-or-Buy decisions
9. Documentation according defined process
10. Comparison and Evaluation of incoming quotations
11. Draft and Finalization of Contracts
12. Participation in Sourcing Committee
13. Ordering of samples and follow up of time line
14. Handover to operative purchasing ("Disposition") after SOP for relevant items
15. Definition and Implementation of relevant measures to guarantee and improve supplier performance (cost,quality,time), including supplier audits and delivery data analysis
16. Communication of all relevant changes (drawings, sepcifications, standards,...) to the suppliers
17. Lead a cross-functional team for supplier development, cooperate with the relevant functions (quality, operations, supply chain management, solution team)
18. Lead and participate in projects concerning organizational and process improvement projects in the area of supplier management and supply chain
