1. Assist Plant Management Team in developing Quality as a core value in the organization.
2. Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure reliability of testing procedures, proper function of laboratory equipment; prepare and maintain applicable records.
3. Prepare technical reports reflecting volume of work, procedures utilized and test results.
4. Design appropriate work schedules for subordinate employees and plans daily work assignments in order to maintain an adequate personnel complement for laboratory efficiency.
5. Monitor Quality Control, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external requirements.
6. Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties.
7. Provide advanced problem solving, troubleshooting, interpretation/consultation, verification of specimen quality and test results.
8. Stay abreast of and execute latest technical and management developments including new lab procedures.
9. Performs Gage R&R studies and supports Specification identification.
10. Manage and maintain production quality labs and equipment certification/calibration.
11. Investigate all quality issues arising from customer complaints and internal production issues.
12. Driving and supporting process control measurements and data analysis. Champions the establishment of and results from SPC programs.
