JOB SUMMARY

Primary contact with the customer to design & develop elastomer products. Responsible for program management to insure all internal and external program milestones are met and successfully launched while adhering to NPIS and TS16949 requirements within Tenneco. Coordinate all aspects of new product development which includes but not limited to: designing, developing, testing, planning, and completion of engineering & plant based activities for assigned new program launches. Facilitate meetings of cross-functional teams as needed.

SKILL / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum three years product development or five years in related field
Strong customer interface skills required (written, oral, and presentation)
Good computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
BS in Engineering or equivalent.
Automotive background a plus.
Rubber industry knowledge a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Liason with customer technical personal and Tenneco commercial personnel.
2. Identify and document technical requirements of customer's applications.
3. Direct design process from inception through PPAP.
4. Responsible for product design and insure design is robust and in compliance with all regulations affecting performance, safety, and the environment.
5. Insure design analysis and validation processes are followed (analytical tools, DVP&R, etc.)
6.Direct construction and testing of prototypes and support customer prototype requirements.
7. Insure that product development and launch timing objectives are set and met.
8.Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, BOS, APQP, etc.
