Senior Embedded Software Engineer


Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Software Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, deployment,
and maintenance of cutting-edge software for security-related video applications and real-time
video analytics. Interaction with the Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Documentation,
Training, and Product Management teams, as well as research staff and customers, will be
required on a periodic basis.

Responsibilities include:
? Participate in the full life cycle of software development from specification and design
through implementation, unit testing, and code maintenance
? Work with research staff to design, implement, and commercialize new analytics
? Provide product engineering support to sales staff and value-added resellers
? Configure analytics software for customer sites
? Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and stay informed
about current technologies

Qualifications/Requirements:
? Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering
? 1-3 years of software development experience
? Proficiency in C / C++
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
? Strong competency for algorithmic thinking
? Highly motivated, fast learner who works well both independently and within a team
? English language skills
? Experience with Matlab
? Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
? Experience with image processing, OpenCV, and/or video
? Experience with COM programming
