Job Responsibilities:

Our Human Capital professionals drive the firm’s people strategy, create a unique people experience, and work with the business to drive success in the marketplace. To lead the strategic positioning of PwC’s employer brand, drive messaging and communications for the people agenda, and manage internal and external communication vehicles, the HC function requires a seasoned brand and communications specialist to collaborate with HC leadership.
The National HC Brand and Communications Senior Manager is responsible for designing and delivering a holistic internal and external communications and engagement strategy that strengthens PwC’s employer brand, creates consistent and quality messages and communications across every touchpoint, and drives synergies across the function and other internal and external communications vehicles.
The role and scope is complex and broad with firmwide impact to China and Hong Kong as well as to internal and external audiences including media. The role requires strong project management skills, agility and adaptability to concurrently execute and prioritise multiple workstreams, and the ability to deliver under time pressure. The role requires strong relationship and interpersonal skills, cultural dexterity to operate in China and Hong Kong, and a strategic ‘can-do’ mindset to innovate and deliver on a distinctive branding and communications strategy.
The National HC Brand and Communications Senior Manager:
- Designs and executes the firmwide internal and external HC branding communications plan
- Creates messaging of expansive range, depth, and effectiveness to elevate awareness on key people topics as well as understanding of HC processes, policies, and programmes;
- Aligns the HC communications strategy and plan with the firm's strategic priorities, marketing and brand messaging strategy, people survey results, people value proposition, and employer brand;
- Ensures content and design of HC communications, messaging, and collateral are clear consistent, and compelling;
- Coordinates messaging across internal and external channels including social media by working with the firm’s social media teams;
- Provide content development and editorial support on key people communications and lead content development for major people initiatives and campaigns i.e., graduate recruitment, diversity and inclusion, performance management, total reward, etc.;
- Work with and manage the appropriate stakeholders to produce communication materials and help direct, develop, and edit content and design as needed;
- Work with the firm’s media team to proactively identify opportunities to promote PwC’s employer brand and act as a single point of contact to manage information requests for interviews and HC related crisis communications;
- Identify and collaborate with spokespeople on key people related topics to promote the firm’s employer brand and position in the market;
- Leverage existing and propose new and innovative communication channels to engage with and inform employees;
- Team with PR professionals to provide communications guidance and support on crisis management and other ad hoc issues; and
- Be a trusted communications and brand advise to key HC stakeholders and partners.
Reporting structure & key relationships:
Reports to and works with the Human Capital Director and critical working relationships within Marketing and Communications
Partners within the function to the firmwide HC Leadership Team with a close relationship to the Graduate Recruitment, LoS HR, and Learning & Development teams.
Key member of the HC Leadership Team with accountability to the overall HR function
Maintains strong relationships with key HC stakeholders across China and Hong Kong to ensure consistent alignment and execution of projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or higher in human resources, communications, or business related discipline with 8-10 years of experience;
- Previous experience in a corporate communications or branding position serving senior management, preferably in an MNC or professional services firm;
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of business priorities and objectives and the ability to develop commercially focused strategic integrated communications;
- Ability to communicate with impact to peer groups as well as influence and collaborate with leaders, executives, and other stakeholders;
- Superior writing and editing skills with close attention to detail;
- Strong analytical and research abilities; able to quickly digest information and produce ideas and content for consultation and execution;
- Native English speaker; proficiency in written and verbal Mandarin Chinese highly preferred; and
- Proficient in MS Office particularly PowerPoint and Word. Experience with using Lotus Notes is desirable.
