Our client, a leading Energy Services company, is looking for a high caliber candidate to fill the post of :

Finance Controller/Finance Manager

For Gas Chemicals Plants in China

Work Location: China (Inner Mongolia / Yunnan / Jiangxi)

Report to: Regional Head of Finance (in Hong Kong) and the General Manager (HK Chinese in China)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all ongoing financial and accounting operations as well as general management and operation responsibilities.
• Set up the Accounting, Administrative and general operation procedures, rules and policies but putting a focus in establishing the reporting systems and internal control procedures.
• Lead the accounting team to prepare financial and statistical reports, financial audits, and tax matters as required by law and in compliance with PRC standards.
• Review and ensure the periodically reviews on general ledger entries, check accuracy and ensure compliance with the established rules and accounting principles.
• Work with company managers to evaluate budget reports and forecasts, and complete the overall annual budgetary
• Manage and coach subordinates to ensure their duties are properly performed.

Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance with CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• With practical experience in JVs or sizeable plants is a MUST
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting in HK, PRC and IFRS accounting as well as PRC Tax
• Good in IT, ERP and other computer accounting software (with experience in implementation of Accounting System or ERP would be advantageous)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills including fluency in Putonghua, Cantonese and English
• Independent, good analytical mind and people skills
• Willing to work and station in remote area in PRC

Success Factors:

• Good knowledge and experience in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Tax Matters for PRC plus some experience in Treasury or funding would be good!
• Highly initiated and self-motivated character
• Open to share opinion to look for improvement for the Operation
• Good communication skills including fluency in Putonghua, Cantonese and English
• Solid work experience in energy business (preferably gas or oil-related), with exposures working in China or Overseas an added advantage
