Overview:
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst (SSA) will support the Regional Commodity Manager for Facilities & Utilities in de-velopment and execution of region-wide strategies to effectively manage and optimize the supply base. The SSA will provide analytical support for larger projects as well as lead other projects as assigned. Must demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy execution, project management) and possess the ability to work independently on multiple assignments. The SSA must be capable of assessing and approving new suppliers and assuring that results are delivered in compliance with TE policies and procedures. In addition, the SSA will have shared responsibility with the Regional Commodity Manager for achieving targets for cost savings, supply base optimization, and quality and delivery of services provid-ed. The successful candidate will have three or more years sourcing experience in the Facilities and Utilities com-modities as well as pan-Asia sourcing experience.

Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. Provides leadership and training to lower level professional employees. Coordinates with other departments. Competent to perform highly complex assignments. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DELIVERABLES
?Understanding of supply market, strategies, risks and opportunities within the Facilities and Utilities com-modities.
?Conduct regional RFI’s, RFP’s and reverse auctions, analyse results, develop recommendations to Com-modity Leaders and internal customers.
?Utilize E-sourcing tools in execution of sourcing responsibilities.
?Write, negotiate, execute contracts in compliance with TE requirements.
?service consolidation and efficiency improvement
?Facilitate development of strategy and identify risk and opportunities within scope. Assist Regional Com-modity Manager in development of formal, documented commodity plan and track progress versus goals.
?Demonstrated ability to perform cost/price analysis with total cost of ownership as objective
?Responsible for meeting savings targets for assigned areas.
?Lead and facilitate meetings with internal teams and suppliers. Conduct business reviews with Strategic Suppliers as required by TE policy.
?Lead projects within assigned commodities as directed by the Regional Commodity Manager.
?Assess new suppliers and determine suitability. Approve additions to the supply base.
?Perform data mining and analysis and present finding findings in a clear, concise fashion.
?Fulfil role/responsibility of Regional Commodity Manager as needed due to availability.
?Interface successfully with Business Unit and site personnel.
?Demonstrate value and present to key stakeholders.
?Work with local buyers to communicate strategy and drive compliance.
Key Challenges:
Co-develop and Implement Commodity Strategy
Support contract development
Support corporate cost savings goals
Support implementation of Corporate KPI's (Key Performance Indicators i.e. Quality, Cost, Delivery, Payment terms, etc.)
Support High level vendor data analysis and presentations as required by the Regional Commodity Manager and Global Commodity Director
Support Cross functional teams i.e. engineering, materials, Plant Operations etc.
Support Employee development
Education/Work Experience:
BA/BS, + 3 years minimum work experience
MA/MS, + 1 year minimum work experience
Pan-Asia sourcing experience
Computer Knowledge/Proficiency:
