SUMMERY

Regional Transportation Control Center is the center for the maintenance/escalation point for system master data, resolution of escalated internal stakeholder and/or carrier and/or freight payment supplier issues, drive carriers, freight payment supplier and internal stakeholders for compliance to the policies and procedures including education to the site operations, internal stakeholders and external suppliers, drive efficiency through process improvements. Provide data analysis when needed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Handle the TMS trouble tickets, enquiries and escalations from shipping points. First level support towards Customer Service and Planning must come from the Shipping Point and not from the TCC.
- Ensure regional/local ratecards are stored on sharepoint, listed in the ratecard list on sharepoint and communicated with rate mgt team.
- Make SSU-approval for carriers.
- Inform BU’s about inbound transit times to support ZTDY-corrections by the BU's (master data and backlog).
- Route determination, new routes and route transit time maintenance in SAP (master data and backlog) in close communication with BU’s.
- Ensure correct routing guide information in the routing guide webtool.
- Approve rates for new air-/ocean-lanes.
- Safeguard TMS track and trace performance.
- Ensure that all site contacts are in the regional mail-lists.
- Validate carrier overrides by sites.
- Validate load cost exceptions.
- Shipment status 8 approval.
- Supervise the processes at the third party freight payment company.
- Ensure Transportation policies and procedures are followed by all shipping points.
- Provide system and process support to internal users and carriers.
- Support new awards on rate administration, implementation procedures and communication lines with sites.
- Annual review of active/inactive carriers with data-management.
- Frequent engagement with TCC’s in other regions


QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree holder majoring in Computer Science/Business Administration/Logistics Management or related subjects
- 3 to 4 years working experience in multinational company
- Experience in system support for Transportation Management System or SAP is preferred
- Fundamental knowledge in project management is a plus
- Experience in freight forwarding industry / logistics management is preferred
- Able to perform data analysis independently
- Good written English and Chinese plus good command of spoken English and Mandarin
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite especially in Excel and Powerpoint
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task
