Position Details
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is your opportunity to join a dynamic team supporting the technical needs of our customers in the test and measurement industry. Join a team with strong growth potential and exciting new products.
The person is responsible for supporting BBN (MTBU, FOBU, ACCESS) Unit product of the Company NSE in North China and takes responsibility of high level technical demonstrations of the Company’s solutions in front of customers, and help them integrate into automation software as well. The person will closely work with the sales team (direct and indirect) and be expected to manage opportunity, issues with necessary resources in a proactive way.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to consistent business growth by providing unique expertise
-Cover Transport product of the Company portfolio: ONT-MTM, ONT-Jitter, ONT-100G, ONT-CFP2
- Cover Metro product of the Company portfolio: MTS-5800/6000/8000
- Cover all Fiber Optics product of the Company portfolio: OTDR, OSA, PMD/CD, Fiber Inspection Tools, (ONMS is optional), PLT (SWS, OCET, MAP) etc.
- Cover ACCESS product of the Company portfolio; HST-3000, SC-TPS, OneExpert DSL
- Understand real customer requirements. Set right expectation. Propose the right solution. And demonstrate compelling value of our products.
- Transfer competencies and technologies to direct sales and channel partners (education)
- Present Products and Technology at targeted road shows/seminars in the region covered
- Provide feedback to Division and contribute to their strategy preparation
- Share experience and best practices with SSO, Sales, and Division
- Expect 40% of time for business travel
- Analyze gaps and propose action plan to fill it.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a degree in electronic engineering (or similar)
- Over 6 years experience in Field Application Engineer (or equivalent)
-Experienced of writing code in a high level programming language such as VB or C# as well as having knowledge of common scripting languages such as TCL, Python. LabView experience strongly preferred.
MTBU;
- Strong Ethernet network knowledge e.g. Ethernet frame structure, OAM (Y.1731, G.8113.1, IEEE 802.3ah), QoS examples (delay, loss, throughput, etc), RFC-2544, Y.1564, RFC6349.
- Familiarity with the theory and related protocols of SDH/SONET, OTN, P-OTN, MSTP, MPLS, MPLS-TP, TCP/IP, socket, PTP, Sync-E, CPRI and Fiber Channel.
- Familiar with the Company MTBU product e.g. MTS-5800/6000/8000, ONT-MTM/ONT-Jitter/ONT-100G/ONT-CFP2, highly appreciated
- Deep test knowledge e.g. customer’s test procedure, customer’s real unmet needs, test echo-system,
-- Strong trouble shooting skills
FOBU:
- Deep Fiber technology knowledge e.g. OTDR, OSA, Coherent, C/DWDM, PMD, etc
- Deep Fiber product knowledge e.g. OSA, OTDR, PMD, (ONMS is optional)
- Deep Fiber Industry, Customer, and Test Case knowledge e.g. customer’s test procedure, customer’s real unmet needs, test echo-system,
- Experience in test and measurement industry
- Optional; Proficient in using Server, Unix/Linux system (ONMS)
- Strong trouble shooting skills
ACCESS;
- Technical Expertise in primarily copper/DSL but preferably also knowledgeable in the following technologies: coax, MOCA, HPNA, VoIP, TCP/UDP, metro, Ethernet, and IPTV.
- Technical Expertise in testing copper/DSL links using basic measurements techniques including the intricacies involved in tests like TDR, RFL, Noise and transmission, DVOM, xDSL modem synchronization, etc.
- Experience in explaining the aforementioned technologies and measurement techniques to non-technical end-users in a clear and understandable manner.
- Relevant competitor’s products; EXFO MaxTester-6xx, AXS-xxx; VeEX TX150+, BV100V+, SUNRISE Sunset UDSL, etc

- Excellent communication skills in oral, written, and presentations
- Ability to listen to, and understand, the opinions of others while holding strong personal views
