50% Support Commercial Negotiations and Contract Process for Land Acquisition including Relocation:
Working closely with MCP, Operations and Legal departments, assist and/or lead (depending upon the complexity of the envisioned arrangement) negotiation efforts with various government bodies for Southwest Oil and Gas Company to acquire and lease land for the project. This would include related discussion on relocation, housing standards, and land-transfer-related agreements with 3rd parties. Prepare the contract and ensure the contract be executed in a timely manner.
40% Support/Lead Negotiations and Contract Process for other project requirements:
Working with other MCP groups, independently assess and evaluate commercial options for various negotiation issues. These will cover all non-routine commercial matters. Lead or contribute as a team member to engage complex commercial matters. Participate or provide support to other team members who are involved in the negotiations. Significant analytical abilities are required for this position including working with complex financial models. Basic/intermediate understanding of tax, legal, and financial issues is required. Examples of such dealings include temporary relocation compensation for villagers, take-over of specific assets from SWOG, complex utility sharing agreement with SWOG or other 3rd parties etc. Prepare the contract and ensure the contract be executed in a timely manner.
10% Other Administrative work assigned by the supervisor.
