Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
Dotting reports to: Director Global Sourcing

Requirement:
1. Professional requirement
1) Bachelor degree in engineering. MBA preferred
2) Good English ability both in oral and writing
3) At least 5 years + working experience in Sourcing / Global Sourcing /Commodity Management /Strategic Purchasing / IPO functions in a manufacturing environment (Instrumentation industry desired)
4) Strong Sourcing & Engineering Background
5) Knowledge and understandings on several key commodities (Production process)
6) Experienced in sourcing and supplier qualification, especially in South Korea, China Taiwan , Singapore, Japan, (Malaysia, Thailand).

2. Personal – soft skill requirements
1) Strong demonstrated capabilities on supply identification , evaluation and development
2) Good understanding on supply base management principles & strategies
3) Demonstrated negotiations and problem solving capabilities ；
4) Strong communication Skills and familiar to being working in an intercultural, cross-functional environment etc.
5) Desire to learn and hard work on his/her own initiative
6) Initiative, decisiveness and enthusiasm
7) Willingness to travel often in Asia / Europe

3. Environmental
Environmental care


Main Duties:
1) Implements sourcing strategies per commodity in the China & Asia/Pacific region
2) Supplier pre-selection, identification & evaluation
3) Handles global inquiries by utilizing various types of purchasing tools
4) Negotiates and approves contractual agreements within assigned value limits;
5) Responsible for meeting key performance measurements including on time delivery, quality, inventory, and purchase price variance;
6) Performs benchmarks and market analysis to ensure competitive pricing, technology and to identify potential vendors in the Asia/Pacific region; see 1.6
7) Investigates and reports on potential new technologies and markets to support long term business goals;
8) Performs vendor audits with SQEs
9) Involve in transition projects from European suppliers to new sources in China.
