Description of duties and responsibilities:
This position will reports to both Materials Manager and Global Demand Planning Manager
· Generate and maintain statistical models, analyze economic trends, publish performance metrics, and act as a liaison between Sales/Marketing & Supply Chain.
· Create a detailed forecast of demand for select product groups in specified region.
· Collaborate with domestic and international cross-functional teams to assess the impact of changes in the market and internal processes to arrive at a consensus forecast.
· Model, extract, validate and control data used in the demand planning process.
· Analyze statistical forecasts, historical patterns, current trends and other business information to support development of the demand plan.
· Calculate, publish, and analyze key performance metrics related to demand planning, forecast accuracy and bias.
· Track significant plan variances and recommend the appropriate adjustments to the demand plan.
· Utilize Demand Solutions forecasting software and structure all supporting databases to enable global demand planning capabilities with a focus on continual process improvement.
· Collaborate with IT to develop new global SAP planning strategies to allow best in class execution of the demand plan and retain ownership/maintenance of these select SAP parameters. Gain full understanding of current processes at MSA sites to incorporate exceptions into new strategic development plan.
· Analyze demand plan to identify and reduce potential obsolete inventory.
· Identify Continuous Improvement Opportunities in demand planning and plan execution.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required :
· Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point. Preferred: Microsoft Access, Lotus notes, ERP, MRP and familiarity with Forecast Software.
· Drafts clear, concise and accurate technical reports or documents of a moderately complex nature. Effectively delivers oral/written information to internal audiences.
· Identifies project obstacles and uses creativity to develop alternative solutions. Makes recommendations on course of action for approval and follows through on course of action.
· Responsible for planning own work, but not work of others. Must organize own work on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
· Works effectively with cross functional team/work group or those outside of formal line of authority to accomplish organizational goals.
· Works to achieve mutually agreeable outcome. Keeps discussion issue oriented. Manages the interpersonal issues to stay focused on the task.
· Very strong data processing and analytical capability.
· Very strong cross-functions communication skills.

Education and experience required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain management, Engineering or Business.
· 5+ Years' working experience, including 3+ Years’ experience in Supply Chain.
· Preferred if have experience related to finance analytical, demand planning, supply planning.
