Requirements & Experience
- Previous Supply Chain Management experience is desirable.
- Has the experience for inbound freight cost analysis.

Job Description:
The Inventory Management Inbound Freight Planner will report to Commercial Manager and be responsible for Inbound Freight activities from suppliers to DC and Customer’s Satisfaction in the below areas:
- Manages inventory flow from suppliers
- Work closely with warehouse on space identification and update delivery schedule from suppliers
- Act as liaisons between Unipart and appointed transport companies;
- Draw transport route and lead time with Transport companies from supplier to DC;

Evaluation to the transportation freight cost from vendor to DC an negotiate with vendor about the freight
- Coordinate with New Parts introduction supervisor for inbound freight cost.
Track efficiency of freight lead time from each vendor and unloading in warehouse and ensure parts can be binned in DC
- Feedback to vendors' inquiries on Truck arrival time at Vendors.
Handle claims resulting from in transit damage through to completion till receiving credit/compensation from the transportation company.
- Work with freight providers to identify reasons for damage and put in place countermeasures.
Continously improve transportation service level and optimize the whole supply process from supplier to DC for freight cost saving and lead time target well met.
- Accountabilities:
- Freight damage ratio in target
- Freight cost optimisation in combination with service level requirements
- End to end Supply Chain process improvement

OPERATIONAL PROCESSES, PROCEDURES AND PROJECT DELIVERY
- Liaising with Operation and Purchasing teams on a daily basis
- Oversee operational performance of suppliers.
MONITORING AND MEASURING
- Individual performance will be measured in accordance with agreed PDM objectives.
- Measurement and reporting of market performance (on- time Freight and freight cost).
- Measurement and reporting of supplier performance.
EXTERNAL INTERFACES
- The role may involve communication with business partners outside of Unipart, dependant on the market you are assigned to work on.
