Responsibilities of Position:

· Performs safety audits and incident investigations in responsible area.

· Identifies, initiates, coordinates, and completes maintenance process improvement opportunities in area of responsibility.

· Assures that maintenance technicians and contractors follow maintenance procedures, safety procedures, and Maintenance Excellence work practices.

· Facilitates positive change in the Maintenance organization by proactively driving department initiatives such as craftsman skills improvements, purchase of tools to improve productivity, Planning and Scheduling improvement initiatives, and Maintenance cost and plant downtime reduction projects, etc.

· Communicates work priorities, schedules, and provides necessary oversight to contractor to monitor job execution and insures compliance with established standards.

· Provides feedback to the Planner on improvements to job plans.

· Assists planning and scheduling as needed for weekly schedules and outage plans.

· Supervises the repair of critical equipment in the field and with outside vendors.

· Assists with troubleshooting process equipment problems as needed.

· Supervise all work in process area and assure maximum efficiency at lowest possible cost; consistent with safety of personnel and equipment.

· Other duties and assignments as needed.

Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:

· Knowledge of rotating equipment design & proper operation.

· Excellent communication skills - ability to work with multiple departments to solve problems.

· Understanding of design and repair standards and maintenance practices.

· Experience and familiarity with GB Codes and Honeywell standards.

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

· College degree in chemical equipment related major.

· Minimum 8 years experience in chemical plant.

· Supervisory experience preferred.

· Good English skills in reading and writing.
