* Work within and manage a team in undertaking piping design for projects
* Ensure the highest standard of design and documentation is applied in the most efficient manner to meet required standards of the practice and the client
* Support others within other project teams, by sharing specialist knowledge and experience
* Supervise all aspects of the piping group within the China office including staff management and resolution of project and resourcing issues on a daily basis
* Supervise piping project staff to ensure project requirements are met
* Manage and supervise piping design
* Monitor and resolve site issues arising during project delivery
* Ensure all project reviews are undertaken and documented consistently across all projects including piping design
* Liaise with Operation Manager, regarding the progress of the work on all significant matters relating to, or arising from, the duties and functions under your control
* Liaise with clients, establishing needs and taking briefs before commencing work
* Maintain ongoing liaison with clients during all phases of projects to ensure the client's needs are understood and met
* Undertake design work as required in order to achieve project objectives
* Work within technical teams, defining the scope of work, and coordinate design solutions
* Assist the design team as part of the project, defining scope of work and assisting with the design solution
* Prepare and manage technical specifications and data as required
* Work within the multi disciplinary team, interacting with all disciplines
* Prepare monthly status reports or assist with reports as required
* Technical or degree qualified in mechanical engineering
* Eligibility for membership of a recognized professional engineering body
* Able to manage several projects simultaneously
* Remain up to date with current and previous projects
* Liaise with Operation Manager regarding the progress of the work on all significant matters relating to or arising from the duties and functions under your control
* Lead and influence direct reports to achieve results
* Communicate effectively across all
