Provide professional engineering support to Operations, other sections and localities of FLSmidth and to clients or prospective, as part of the manufacturing, installation, maintenance and operation processes of our equipment or applications:-

• Through manufacturing process provide advice, support and / or solutions regarding assembly issues, drawing changes and other technical matters encountered during manufacture or assembly
• Undertake final equipment testing as necessary, undertaking analysis and remedial action as identified, ultimately approving equipment for release
• Provide technical and engineering advice, support and / or solutions on technical issues encountered in the field by FLSmidth staff or clients, relating to operation of equipment, including component parts.
• Review test and other operational data e.g. vibration analysis and provide technical advice to address issues identified via this data.

Participate as a team member in the design, analysis and testing aspects of new equipment:-

• Following similar processes as in “Design of Equipment” above, provide conceptual and design input into the process of developing new equipment
• Undertaking testing of equipment under development as part of this process
• Analyze data and calculations making design changes to improve performance of new equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Proficient in a 3D drawing / engineering package preferably Solid Works
Exposed to and experienced with vibration analysis and calculations
Accurate and diligent in engineering calculationsProficient in “procedural” engineering activities
Able and motivated to undertake technical problem solving
3 years design engineering experience
Preferably exposed to both practical hands on / in field application of engineering principles as well as consulting and design environments
