Key responsibilities:

· Providing timely, pro-active and practical legal advice all business lines;

· Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of business documents that arise from the day to day operations of the business

· Ensure compliance with relevant country laws or where non-compliance is identified, identify the risks, develop risk minimisation strategies and manage them where non-compliance arises;

· Reviewing and keeping updated on national and state legislation that may affect the business

· Managing litigation and disputes within the region;

· Working with other professionals not directly reporting to Legal & Compliance to ensure achievement of corporate objectives and delivery of corporate compliance across the region, such as:

- the operational risk management services team;

- the Financial Controllers; and

- the Human Resource partners.

Requirements:

§ A lawyer with 1 to 5 years of experience in law firms and/or leading multinational companies, with at least a law degree in China

§ Strong problem-solving, decision-making and risk assessment capabilities, with good judgment and commercial sense

§ Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.

§ Able to adapt quickly to changes in the legal and regulatory environment, the market or the Firm strategy.
