Job Summary

Determine part critical characteristics and required process controls. Implement and monitor advance quality planning with product suppliers and provide guidance and sourcing decisions. Conduct supplier surveys and visitations. Improve quality performance of suppliers by conducting workshops at supplier locations, providing technical assistance in developing a quality system, using statistical techniques to define and resolve quality problems.

Assure supplier understanding of product and submission requirements. Review and approve supplier quality plans on new part programs, manufacturing processes, quality systems, tools, fixtures and part design. Implement and monitor the part qualification and certification process with selected suppliers. Determine cause of supplier quality problems and coordinate/implement actions to effectively correct the quality problem in a timely manner. Maintain required documentation of supplier progress reports. Function as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to provide technical support.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer who can setup, maintain and monitor the process to meet automotive customer quality requirement and have good communication skill with internal team & supplier for any customer requirement, and ensure the execution in process.

Defect Analysis

Work with engineering, component suppliers, and contract manufacturers to investigate, identify and clearly document issues related to defect analysis and corrective action documentation and implementation and drive for continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Effectively drive continuous improvement and adherence to quality plan and systems.

· Prepare suppliers quality metrics and coordinate quality ratings for management review.

· Review and evaluate changes in manufacturing that impacts product quality and determine level of risk and appropriate action requirement for change.

· Ensure that the quality process is in compliance with the ISO and [regulatory] standards.

· Drive and facilitate focused evaluation of quality problems with suppliers.

· Initiate and monitor CAPAs, and work with suppliers to achieve timely and comprehensive corrective actions in a manner that prevents reoccurrence.

· Continually work with suppliers to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans Interact routinely with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers to proactively improve quality of components.

· Analyze data and identify opportunities to improve supplier quality and service levels through the use of best continuous improvement practices such as Lean Six Sigma.

· Perform supplier Quality Systems audits and provide support for supplier Quality Systems improvements. Write follow-up reports and recommend actions to resolve noncompliance issues.

Skills & Experience Required:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work in fast-moving environment with changing priorities.

· Analytical and problem-solving skills and good Interpersonal skills.

· Experience/Knowledge in RoHS, RoHS 2, REACH and WEEE initiatives and compliance regulations worldwide.

· Demonstrated ability to work and perform in team environments.

· Proven ability to resolve issues and participate in process improvement activities.

· Experience/Knowledge in Quality Systems (ISO 9000/TS16949), Supplier Quality Management, 8D, FMEA, PPAP is a plus.

· Understand, promote, and encourage the full use of Remedy capabilities.

· Fluent Chinese and English is needed, good reporting skill in Chinese &; English needs read and write at least, speak English well will be great.

· Bachelors in Mechanical, Industrial, EE or equivalent technical degree.

· 5+ years in volume manufacturing with experience in an EMS/ OEM from technology, or automotive manufacturing industries.
