RF Electrical Design Engineer

Position To Which Person Reports:
RF Section Manager

Purpose Of Job:

Provide RF engineering design solutions for the China wireless marketplace by interfacing with the customer to support the rapid design and manufacture of antenna solutions meeting customer needs. Work closely with the customer design teams and all the Galtronics design teams to insure a thorough and ongoing understanding of the requirement, excellent communications and a rapid response time and outstanding work results and thorough design. Work with Galtronics process and qualify engineers to define production and quality related parameter and support their functions.

Major Responsibilities And Authority:

Work in design and development of custom antennas for hand-held mobile, cellular, and other wireless systems. Provide technical support for customers, while conducting tests, solve problems and improve and provide samples with quick turn over. Prioritize and schedule multiple tasks in various projects and resolve conflicts.

Communicate project status with Engineering Mgr, Communicate with Galtronics Product Management, and Sales persons. Communicate with process engineers and other departments for all issues related to his/her project work and design.

Prior to choose the environmental material when design the products and pay attention to the environmental aspects of products.

Required Qualifications:
? BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 3 years working experience as an electrical design engineer with a demonstrated understanding of RF technology and material properties:
o Familiarity with Vector Network Analyzers.
o Design of impedance matching networks using Smith’s charts.
o Knowledge of antenna test methods, including SAR.
o Experience in far/near field radiation testing using anechoic chamber.
o Solid background in applied physics and microwave design techniques.
? Prior working experience in commercial business enterprise; sense of urgency
o Scope, plan & prioritize projects, ability to manage design to cost budgets
o Aggressive, team oriented and creative problem solver.
o Effective communicator creating synergy within our global organization; diplomacy to get results; sensitivity to cultural differences.
o Demonstrates persistence – commitment to achieve goals despite setbacks, obstacles.
? Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
? Must be fluent Chinese and have basic English knowledge in reading and writing.
? Familiar with APQP, FMEA, PPAP tools; Familiar with TS16949 standard
