Education:
1.at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
Work experience:
1.Above 3 years of direct experience in a Component Engineering, specializing in the manufacturing engineering or design engineering area, preferably has experience/knowledge of parts (Passives, Discretes, PCB and Mechanical parts) in terms of component design, quality or process.
Special know how:
1.Ability to approach problems and solve them in an analytical matter.
2.In-depth understanding of reliability, reliability standards and component failure mechanisms. Knowledge of industry regulations (CE, UL, IEC).
3.Ability to take initiative.
4.Good negotiation skills.
5.Excellent co-operation and communication skills.
6.High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc).
Language skills:
1.Fluent written and spoken English & Chinese (mandarin).
2.Other language skills considered as an advantage.
Main Tasks:
1.To identify second sources to mitigate risk in the supply chain, drive sourcing savings by 2nd source/localization.
2.To ensure compliance of quality, regulatory and customer/industry demand standards, aligned with supplier(for example ROHS, CHINA ROHS, REACH).
3.To support cost reduction efforts, product enhancements, target pricing, and in contract negotiations.
4.Perform or monitor First Article Inspections of new component. Collect and review final test results and assess qualification status.
5.To make sure that description/specs in Wise comply with datasheets (new codes opened by NPI), also add datasheets to Wise.
