A leading US company is looking for a mature Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their Suzhou factory.

About the Organisation:
This is a leading US company producing cable/harness in all industry including automotive, medical, electronics, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
? oversees all factors of manufacturing operations in china
? responsible for all day to day technical production activities
? support the vision, mission of the organization
? provide superior quality products, process improvements
? responsible for all day to day productions in china
? plans, assigns, and directs work in the manufacturing shop
? handles performance appraisals for his/her direct reports
? addresses customer complaints and resolves problems jointly with quality department
? provides sample supports lean manufacturing and teaming implementation
? implement best practices in overall plant manufacturing functions
? responsible for meeting and/or exceeding organizational goals
? interviews and hires and trains employees, and also discipline and/or terminations
? plans, assigns and directs work
? responsible for performance, motivation, rewards and disciplines of employees

Key Requirements:
? college / university degree
? possess thorough knowledge of lean concepts such as 5s, quick changeover, WIP reduction, cycle time reduction, visual factory tools
? five to seven yrs. experience in the manufacturing field and a key managerial position in cable / fiber manufacturing
? more than five years of western mfg. experience
? must have proven track record in process improvement and cost reduction
? bi-lingual
? demonstrated accomplishments in co. leadership
? demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
? must possess excellent interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment
? ability to lead by example
? excellent communication, mentoring, empowerment, and resource mgt. a must
? ability to travel on a regular basis
? proficient in computer skills
