Functional Description

Position Purpose
? Participate in product engineering and maintenance activities
? Contribute to innovative, fast and effective response mechanism to product maintenance and modification in relation to variants, quality and cost reduction

Responsibilities
Product maintenance and variant creation
? Participate in the technical performance of engineering projects
? Use new technologies, research know-how, and technology platforms in
? relation to engineering and maintenance activities
? Use standardized and measurable development methods in engineering activities
? Work to achieve the specified requirements in compliance with the engineering process
? Produce cost analysis
? Involve and communicate with relevant stakeholders in relation to engineering activities
? Ensure that quality, functionality and production costs meet the
specified requirements.
? Assist as project manager on smaller engineering projects
? Accomplish design- and construction tasks

Test
? Observe demands and perform tests in compliance with relevant norms
and product approval standards
? Plan and conduct tests and laboratory tasks
? Work out test descriptions, test result analysis, handle specification and
follow-up on tests for clarification of technical problems

Documentation
? Prepare documentation in compliance with the product producing
process
? Ensure documentation of the technical development in design journals
? Support on product approvals

? Interface to Product Engineering Manager
o Receive tasks from Product Engineering Manager – Delegated to PTR
o Personal competence development
? Interface to Product Technical Responsible (PTR)

Required Qualifications

? Bachelor degree – Mechanical or Marine Engineer
? Solid English skills (IELTS 6)
