SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Marketing Manager leads and coordinates the development and support within assigned markets per the company’s STRAT and AOP plans. Systematically identifies, documents and communicates customer and market requirements into the organization. Using VOC determines and leads the organization in the development and launch of products to meet market needs and grow sales. Ongoing focal point for all aspects of interface and relationship with customers within assigned markets
REPORTING TO: Director, BAND-IT China
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Is the product and application expert for assigned markets
? Directs and coordinates activities to increase sales in support of objectives, policies and defined sales goals for the assigned markets.
? Develops and approves or secures approval of objectives, policies and programs for the assigned markets and periodically evaluates and reports results.
? For the assigned markets recommends short and long term sales forecasts, insures sales volume and profit goals are achieved, and coordinates the development of annual operating plan (AOP) and three year strategic plan (STRAT) presentations, and forecasts.
? Makes recommendations to the New Product Development / Product Improvement Team (NPD/PI) resulting in new or improved products, derived from market research using VOC methods, technical service work or personal observations.
? Develops and recommends pricing policies including quantities, discounts, freight terms and conditions of sale for distribution products in the assigned markets.
? Coordinates advertising and sales promotion activities with the Manager, Global Distribution Marketing and the Marketing Communications Specialist.
? Research, determine, document, monitor and systematically communicate information about “critical to customer” requirements.
? Regularly travel to contact and follow up with customers (mainly 80s) in assigned markets regarding all aspects of our overall business relationship.
? Facilitate and ensure prompt and thorough answers to customer inquiries, complaints and concerns, following all relevant procedures and coordinating across all relevant departments of BAND-IT.
? Coordinate interface with and across entire customer and BAND-IT organizations, including (customer) purchasing, engineering, materials, etc. and (BAND-IT) engineering, customer service, sales management, marketing, tool repair/technical support, accounting, independent sales representatives and distributors.
? Liaison across BAND-IT and Customer worldwide operations if customer or prospect operates internationally.
? Develop quotations reflecting analysis of all costs and operational factors versus customer expectations following the appropriate process.
? Facilitate, coordinate and project manage new product launches following a cross-functional approach, following all relevant BAND-IT processes and procedures. This includes understanding, communicating and coordinating compliance with all customer requirements and initiating and following up on ECR/ECN’s per established procedures and communicating and coordinating implementation and with customers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:

? Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Engineering field plus 5 years experience in the marketing of industrial products through distributors
