Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is enrolling new students through two routes, that is, normal Gaokao and Autonomous Admissions. The post holder will do with affairs and work related to admissions.

Responsibilities:

1.Contribute to improve the University’s autonomous admissions systems, policies and procedures;

2.Help the team leader with strategic plan for autonomous admissions, including new policies as needed, focusing on effectively engaging all prospective students;

3.Be familiar with any changes made to the systems of Gaokao across the whole China mainland;

4.To ensure that all applications are promptly processed and that decisions are made within the relevant deadlines;

5.Be responsible for and coordinate the process of autonomous admissions to the academic departments/programme clusters;

6.Liaise with other university departments on all aspects of autonomous admissions;

7.To organise and coordinate activities relevant to autonomous admissions;

8.Implement and monitor ongoing coaching to ensure all team members and admissions representatives exhibit accurate, current, and comprehensive programme and admissions knowledge;

9.Analyse admissions data and survey current students and make improvements on next steps;

10.Perform other duties and projects as may be assigned by line manager;

1.Bachelor degree or above, 2+ working experience in relevant field in higher education;

2.Excellent skills to do presentations.

3.Excellent verbal and written communication both in Chinese and English;

4.Be a good communicator with people at all levels, from high school students to senior academics;

5.Demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement;

6.Able to thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic and deadline-drive environment;

7.Strong time management and organizational skills;

8.Excellent critical thinking and demonstrate ability to execute effectively;

9.Ability to work independently, think outside the box, and demonstrate strategic problem-solving skills;
