This position is for those who are in charge of Items shelving and circulation, UG student literacy training, library marketing, students’ activities and clubs, and knowledge integration.

Main Responsibility and Accountability

1. To act as a teacher or tutor to teach and guide students with information retrieval and management skills.

2. To manage the circulation service in all the library branches.

3. To recruit, train and manage all the part time staff and students helpers in the Library Reading Rooms

4. To provide professional support to academic staff in books and other library resources upon query.

5. To do research into the library services, provide suggestions to XJTLU library with respect to library functions, services, building and others.

6. To complete with the Library Knowledge Integration Project as a long term service.

7. To look after all the 3 Library students association, to marketing the Library and manage students activities and events.

Position Qualification Requirement

Skills and Knowledge

1. Good Chinese and English language skills.

3. Be skilled in computer using, especially the Microsoft Office Suite.

4. Have effective communication and customer service skills.

5. Be able to work well in a team.

6. Be interested in books and sources of information in general.

7. Be willing to make a career in library.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor Degree in Library, Archive Management or Information Management related subjects with 2 year working experience

2. Bachelor Degree in related fields with more than 4 years working experience

3. Or Master Degree in related fields with more than 1 year working experience
