Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Customer
Support – Order Fulfillment

Work with customers to develop comprehensive understanding of customer
needs and kit application requirements

Gather customer
technical information, specifications and arrange for collaterals transfer
necessary for kit design

Review customer
information requirements and collaterals necessary to attain complete
information package necessary for kit design

Convert this body of
information into specifications for kit design and upload to kit engineering
for design project loading

Liaison between
customer and design team to facilitate resolution of inquiries on technical
matters related to kit design completion path

Present and explain
to customer the conceptual design of the device kit (as needed)

Work with Sales &
Engineering to define comprehensive, accurate quotation necessary to drive
subsequent sales order configuration

Customer
Support – Field Support

1.
Attend on-site kit
performance reports to investigate and develop an accurate problem statement

Review with customer
their observation and history of the problem

b.
Review performance
records, inspect component / assy’s, take measurements, review SolidWorks
layout and consult with design team as needed to diagnose root cause

Execute iteration
testing, SolidWorks layout analysis, detail drawing review and consult with
design team as needed to isolate and identify root cause

Customer

Work with design team
to develop an appropriate “Is - Was” design revision and correction action presentation

a.
Review findings with
design team and work jointly to and discuss and develop design revision and
corrective action path.

b.
Represent customer interest
to design team in developing the path that will be practical for customer
production needs yet acceptable to Delta interest

c.
Document this
proposal, Present to customer and solicit buy-in acceptance for the plan

d.
Document Corrective
Actions experiences and lesson’s learn to feedback into engineering

4.
Work jointly with
engineering to develop a comprehensive SOW-CA (Scope of Work – Corrective
Action) plan document

Determine P/N’s &
Qty’s effected

Identify path / plan
for field material rework or replacement

c.
Set the ECO schedule,
disposition of WIP

d.
On ECO completion
solicit from planning group a WIP Impact rework plan

e.
Present the SOW-CA
and WIP revision plan to customer

Take primary
ownership for driving the completion of the corrective action plan

Interface with the
kit organization (Sales, Planning, Engineering) to insure CA closure

b.
Develop spreadsheet
schedule to track and drive rework progress

c.
Generate part drawing
for reworks as needed

d.
Coordinate with local
machine shops for local modification of kit parts

e.
Perform device kit
and contactor assembly as needed

f.
Report regularly to
customer and management progress to date on activities

Respond to customer
daily technical enquiries regarding kit and contactor design

Supervisory Responsibility:
None.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in mechanical design or 5 years’
experience supporting test handlers and device kits.

Education: B.S. in mechanical engineering preferred, other engineering discipline,
or closely related technical field of study will be considered.

Skills/Technical Requirements: Knowledge of semiconductor
packages and back-end test production operations. Must possess excellent oral and written
communication skills; ability to develop presentations to provide direction for
design team, work tracking spreadsheets, email communication with kit
organization and represent in customer or internal meetings. Must have strong process ownership and
project management skills to work effectively with customers, sales and
engineering in a team environment. Must
be able to effectively translate customer requirements to the kit organization,
and effectively handle customer inquiries in a professional and competent
manner. Proficiency with
SolidWorks/AutoCAD (latest release), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and
Excel) is required.

Job Conditions: Works in an office, lab or
test floor environment with constant or intermittent noise, some variations of
temperature. Prolonged periods of
sitting at the computer terminal and operate a keyboard is required. Domestic and international travel is
required. Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs, occasional exertion.
