IWS (Institute for Western Surgery) Sales and Marketing Manager
Job Description
In this role as Sales & Marketing Manager for a growing healthcare company in Guangzhou, you will be responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets, as well as hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of the sales staff. The initial focus will be a pediatric orthopedic program targeted to middle class and affluent Chinese.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and execute a healthcare sales and marketing strategy to include networking, referral generation, visibility, branding, and advertising to reach the middle class Chinese market. This campaign will be initially centered inside the new GZ Women & Children’s Medical Center but should also include outside organizations and other hospitals.
? Ensure immediate entry into the market utilizing existing channels under unique agreement with the Hospital while at the same time developing a more comprehensive marketing strategy
? Conduct market assessments, including understanding trends, and demands to identify key opportunities
? Identify target markets and develop strategies for reaching those targets in Guangzhou.
? Find potential partners, develop relationships, establish contracts, and drive volume of Middle class Chinese patients.
? Meet regularly with management to establish direction, priorities, goals and targeted objectives and marketing budgets
? Achieve revenue and volume objectives with the primary goal of generating new business
? manage and help recruit additional sales people and manage their daily activities
? Develop and implement company marketing materials to drive a consistent brand image.
? Coordinate and conduct meetings, presentations and special events
Requirements:
? Strong sales & marketing background (experience in healthcare is required)
? Demonstrated track record of success in sales, marketing and business development in Chinese hospitals.
? Experience in relationship building with doctors and hospital staff
? Former Doctor is highly preferred
? Experience in strategic planning and execution
? Results driven and clear commitment to measurable results
? Ability to motivate sales team to reach goals and objectives
? Strong communication skills, both oral and written
? Excellent presentation skills
? Clear understanding of Chinese business and health care rules and regulations
? Written English required and spoken English also useful
