The Basics: As OtterBox continues to grow and explore global markets, our procurement and distribution must be robust and effective in all aspects. The Procurement Specialist will support international and domestic replenishment buying. This position is designed to be a “super buyer” by developing lasting relationships with our suppliers and maximizing company resources. The Procurement Specialist will key in our suppliers to match up with Otter’s needs during new product launch and throughout the product life cycle. Are you the super Otter we need?
What You’ll Do (but not limited to):
· Issue POs to all EMEA suppliers and follow up open PO status with vendors as well as monitor lead-time.
· Accurately update Order Management System on a daily basis to reflect latest supplier commits as well as input new product information, cost etc, ensuring latest commits, as well as ensuring vendor records are managed/updated frequently.
· Manage communication with all suppliers (emails, weekly calls etc).
· Provide suppliers with forecasts.
· Maintain supplier MOQ excess reports: finished good quantities and $ value of excess liability.
· Consolidation of PO with all regional offices to eliminate MOQ.
· Liaise with Global Supply Chain on Vendor Managed Inventory programme with packaging vendors.
· Liaise with EMEA Demand Planner on commit guides for NPI launches.
· Work with EMEA Demand Planner on inventory management.
· Advise EMEA Sales and Order Fulfilment teams on delays and sourcing issues.
· Work with Global Strategic Sourcing to ensure supplier pricing is correct.
· Manage supplier performance metrics (OTD, OCT etc) and attend QBRs.
· Support and monitor Supplier Performance Management with overall KPI management of the suppliers assigned and work with suppliers to develop and drive corrective action plans if required.
· Provide monthly and quarterly summation of performance KPI’s to Supplier Performance Management Coordinator including any defined corrective action plans that have been initiated.
· Communicate with suppliers concerning quality & delivery complaints. Initiate supplier SCAR’s (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) when necessary.
What You’re Made of: Business acumen, communication skills, decision quality, negotiating, planning, process management
What You Need (but not limited to):
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with new product introduction.
· Experience with MRP/ERP systems and the ability to implement new systems.
· Asian sourcing experience
· Thorough understanding of supply chain concepts, principles and applications- Understanding of EOQ, Pareto analysis, ABC concept, kanban, min/max stocking levels, forecasting, order cycles, lead times, safety stock and inventory shrinkage.
· Demonstrate experience and high proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and reporting tools. MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access a must.
· Ability to work with large amounts of data and creatively seek information to improve processes, find solutions to business questions and issues, and drive resolution.
· Detail-oriented with excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
· Proven initiative (self-starter) and responsibility demonstrated through prior work experience.
· Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
· Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
· Team player with a positive attitude.
· Fluent written and oral fluency in Mandarin and English.
