Performs engineering work that spans a broad spectrum of duties from product design, material

evaluations, research investigations, project schedules and report preparation



Can take projects from initial concept to implementation, including preparation of detailed

designs and drawings, supervision of prototype build, establishment of a test and certification

program, and coordination with Manufacturing and Sales & Marketing



Work with operations to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities, including product

design changes, use of alternate materials, rationalization of product-lines, and qualification of new

vendors



Evaluate feasibility and costs of special product designs as requested by marketing or customer inquiries.



Has knowledge in Electrical Codes, Standards and electrical product design for hazardous locations.



Technical resource to manufacturing, sales & marketing, field engineering, and end-users



Bachelors of Engineering degree (electrical preferred) from an accredited school and 3+ years related experience.

Must be proficient in AutoCAD computer aided design and ProE (Creo) experience is a plus.

Strong project management skills and experience with electrical product design for hazardous locations is preferred.
