PURPOSE:
The role of the Senior Project Coordinator is to work under Project Manager's directions to plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. To foresee and control any potential risks as early as possible and to manage complex and diverse activities across functional teams. To provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Following existing methodologies, performs assigned tasks related to the successful completion of projects. Ensures that all related data is accurate and completed according to schedule.
Assist manager in developing tools, systems, pricing models and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and insure profitability.
Assists with team planning, task fulfillment, and project assignment to insure effective use of resources and identify issues.
Responsible for providing supervision, guidance, direction to Project Assistants. Proactively manages performanceand day-to-day function.
Coordinates day-to-day communication among different functional teams to keep the project moving forward. Notifies sales of any issues that could impact client relationships.
Manages design and development of customer projects with various levels of complexity and size
Tracks, reviews and moves projects throughout design, costing, pricing, and sampling to ensure customer satisfaction.
Arranges and manages work outsourced to service providers including translation agencies, designers and outside quality testing laboratories.
Facilitates the price quotation for customer projects with our Asian teams.
Runs reports to track status of projects and notifies team of any project complications.
May be required to provide analysis on products, review data or assist in the completion of invoicing.
Responsible for good and easy tracing record for all different types of documents within the Project Management team
Responsible for maintaining good filing system for both actual products and samples
Accountable for coordinating global project implementation with cross-functional teams and different offices
Accountable for the completion of the First Article approval process
Accountable for successful project kick-off and hand-off to all cross-functional teams
Responsible for the application of pricing update in system on timely basis
Responsible for providing the GMA and quote sheet if necessary
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SCOPE
Works under limited direction. Requires the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently and with thorough follow-up. Projects assigned are typically complex with variations. Applies creative problem solving techniques to situation. Problems may be unusual and require application of experience, knowledge and situation to determine the best solution for all parties. Errors in work or failure to achieve results may cause significant expenditures of resources and delays that may have an affect outside the department. Issues of significant risk or complexity are escalated.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Bachelor's degree in business (or equivalent) with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Proven ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports, carry out assigned projects to their completion, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management.
Skill in researching complex issues and developing recommended actions.
Intermediate to advanced math skills
Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate both in writing and speaking. Well versed in English and Mandarin with strong communication and presentation skills.
Requires the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently and with thorough follow-up.
A background in customer service is required.
Demonstrated positive attitude, self-motivated, team player.
Must be able to multi task and possess the ability to manage workload in a fast paced environment with competing demands and shifting priorities.
Must possess critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Must possess excellent PC knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:
Cantonese speaking is preferable.
Packaging and/or Printing industry experience a plus
