Job Purpose:

The primary role of the eCommerce business Specialist is to scope the unique technical requirements for individual customers and deliver a seamless integration onto the Newark eCommerce platforms (eProcurement and iBuy). The work will often be based on customer needs as well as the need to improve efficiency and the way the customers transact using our electronic channels. Additionally, he/she will play a leading role in proactively championing the sales organization to continually acquire, retain, and grow an increasing number of eProcurement/iBuy customers. This role works extensively with the corresponding sales oranizations and customers to promote the use of eCommerce channels, eProcurement, and iBuy as a way of improving Premier Farnell’s P/L.

Principal Accountabilities

Manage ongoing technical/business issues of large national and global eProcurement/iBuy customers, including changes in 3^rd party systems and migration to automated transactions.

Work with and champion the sales organization to increase eProcurement and iBuy sales, number of active online customers and growth percentage of eCommerce sales, margin and bottom line profits.

Manage/grow a base of accounts working with sales and using customer knowledge to identify key customers to target for eProcurement and iBuy growth programs.

Provide input into developing annual sales targets and related strategies for growing eProcurement and iBuy sales within strategic accounts.

Ensure large customer implementations meet cost reduction requirements associated with an eProcurement channel.

Provide input from customers into future eProcurement and iBuy enhancements and site functionality

Project management of eProcurement customer related projects including releases of new sites/functionality, XML integrations, iBuy setups and user testing to go live.

Ongoing training of sales organization and external customers on Premier Farnell eProcurement and iBuy solutions

Work closely with rest marketing team members to support Ad Hoc marketing programs

Skills, Know How and experience

at least 2 years of direct career experience in eProcurement or eCommerce.

Qualifications either at educational level (Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent experience level.

Knowledge of eCommerce web sites, eProcurement solutions (Ariba Buyer, SAP, Oracle) and associated electronic order integration (cXML, XML, EDI).

Strong analytical/problem solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.

Ability to prioritize own workload and work collaboratively in team environment with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicator at all levels.

Excellent communication/presentation skills.

Strong time management skills
