Key Performance Area/Job summary

This position will provide plant level leadership for CI strategy deployment and centralized contributions for developing Supply Chain CI. The goal of the position is to deliver a competitive business advantage locally while effectively making Continuous Improvement processes our business method.

Key Job Responsibility/Detailed job focuses

1. Lead the CI efforts in the plant in order to maximize the effectiveness of all production systems.

2. Work with the plant leadership team (plant manager and department managers) to identify, prioritize, implement and track CI opportunities at the plant.

3. Champion Phase Progression into a plant strategy that accelerates effectiveness and yields competitive advantage.

4. Effectively measure and report on a monthly basis the impact of Phase Progression on key plant performance objectives (scorecard, OE, PEAK, etc).

5. Manage a plant CI budget.

6. Coordinate communication of activities, successes, learnings and education as it relates to CI through communication avenues (e.g. plant CI website).

7. Identify and implement ways to simplify and organize CI process across the plant.

8. Champion education needs for entire plant population on CI.

9. Provide direction and leadership for department CI leaders and serve as liaison and coach to any CI teams.

10. Ensure all areas of the plant are involved in implementing Phase Progression, including support staffs in Finance, HR, QRO, Distribution and Production Planning.

11. Share current best practices across the entire plant and across the Supply Chain.

12. Provide visible shop floor leadership by participating in audits and celebrating successes.

13. Lead the master planning process and regular progress check-in process.

14. Develop, maintain, and communicate product/system capacity studies, analysis, and next steps.

15. Complete system material balances (i.e. full system identification of inputs and outputs and losses).

16. Identify system bottleneck rate (simple to more advanced, e.g. manual data collection to simulation).

17. Complete conversion step's capability profiles.

18. Identify Target and Ideal rates for all systems.

19. Coordinate and ensure loss data collection (e.g. gap losses, production data) for the factory.

20. Utilize Capacity Analysis templates to generate reports (e.g. Excel).

21. Teach the facility on Capacity definitions and analyses' meaning.

Education /Experience/Capability Request

Expected Education/Background

1. A degree or alternative technical education in Engineering or Food Science mandatory.

2. Experience in Food Manufacturing.

3. Familiar with food manufacturing standards and operations

Required Skills/Experience

1. Experience and knowledge of CI pillars and tools or similar Lean Manufacturing techniques.

2. Experience with change leadership.

3. Prefer formal training background or experience.
