Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mech. or a related field required or above.
At least five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Standard office equipment?

May use workshop tools and machines

Abilities:

Ability to lead and coordinate multi-functional team

-Broad knowledge of manufacturing, quality principles and familiarity with labor-intensive machining, fabrication and assembly operations.
-Strong leadership skill and the ability to manage a diverse group of employees in a manufacturing environment
Experience in lean manufacturing concepts (layouts, material flow, Takt, etc.)
-Working knowledge of manufacturing management programs like JIT, Lean, KanBan systems for productivity
Ability to develop leaders
-Demonstrated superior verbal and interpersonal communication skills in order to motivate and manage a diverse group on individuals in a variety of positions
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point and ERP systems
Ability to communicate effectively in English both oral and written
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage manufacturing value stream(s). Set goals and establish metrics
-Actively participate in and lead self-directed Kaizen events
-Lead the development of current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans, as well as the implementation of these plans across the value stream
-Continuously improve productivity, flow, change-overs, etc. through the implementation of Lean principles
-Lead cross functional performance review walk and drive improvements
-Drive and manage daily improvement through the use of value stream(s) boards ensuring root cause analysis and counter measures are identified
-Be highly visible to associates and promote hands-on, high involvement approaches to problem solving
-Support new product development by driving the operations requirements
Manage the value stream with zero recordable injuries
-Assure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing in risk reduction of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and support plant safety programs
-Conduct safety investigations as needed
-Perform 5S audits and safety training
Manage quality systems and responsible for all out of box quality within the value stream
-Perform layered process and quality audits
-Responsible for developing and monitoring standard work and quality standards
Maintain an OTD of 95% or better through planning and execution
-Conduct OTD analysis and update misses
Manage cost as a % of net sales. Manage value stream(s) budget within forecast
-Develop value stream budgets
-Manage assigned resources to or below budgetary levels
-Ensure accuracy and proper management of inventory and build schedules
-Manage productivity levels of the value stream(s)
Decrease scrap levels and identify all forms of waste for elimination
-Ensure timely disposition of scrap and non-conforming materials
Develop leaders
-Develop and deliver complete, fair, accurate and meaningful employee
performance reviews
-Responsible for assigned value stream(s) adherence to company policies and
procedure. Award and discipline as appropriate
-Develop talent via training and career direction discussions. Find
opportunities to grow talent within value stream(s)
-Ensure cross
training of employees is conducted for development and skills metrics is
updated
