Job Responsibilities
Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) professionals are responsible for the development and marketing of IBM Strategic Outsourcing (SO) technical solutions, agreements, and offerings directly to customers. By using a combination of IBM and non-IBM offerings, services, assets, hardware, and software products, TSA creates complex, multi-year, customized national or international solutions, and associated cost cases that meet the customer's requirements.
The technical directions established by TSA are the foundation of IBM's solution and heavily influence marketing, human resource, contract and delivery strategies for the engagement. TSA is required to anticipate, create, and define innovative technical solutions including contract design, preparation and negotiation, technical specification, service architecture and quality assessment processes that match the customer's and IBM's strategic and tactical requirements.
TSA owns the definition of the technical solution and is the primary source of Strategic Outsourcing technical engagement management and solution design within the geography for the discipline.

- Skills Requirements
1. Maintains and applies knowledge of Strategic Outsourcing technical solutions, contract documents, long-term service planning and cost case development methodologies and techniques in at least one Strategic Outsourcing discipline and in multiple specialties. Demonstrates required proficiency levels for Strategic Outsourcing technical and financial skills
2. Maintains and applies knowledge of technical management and outsourcing specialties associated with the discipline offerings, along with the use of appropriate tools.
3. Understands and applies IBM local delivery policies and strategies, as well as marketing, financial, human resource, and contractual policies and strategies that influence Strategic Outsourcing technical solution development.
4. Creates solutions to address customer business requirements with approved models, mass customization methodologies, and existing delivery techniques.
5. Has the knowledge of the contract terms and conditions, in both Chinese and English context.
6. Has the capability of cost analysis and the knowledge of service agreement pricing and billing models.
7. Has the capability to prioritize and arrange the tasks and work on multiple solution packages simultaneously and efficiently.

- Communication/Negotiation
1. Engages as an independent professional who has the ability to articulate and compare alternative Strategic Outsourcing approaches and solutions. May participate in negotiations with team members or customers, in both English and Chinese, and in activities related to discipline offerings.

- Problem Solving
1. Has working knowledge of discipline offerings and I/T industry (I/T infrastructure and I/T service background preferred) and assessing the use of those offerings on current and new customers. Resolves and represents issues and customer requirements to executives throughout IBM.
2. Independently generates solutions based on analytical skills and business knowledge. When required, challenges the validity of existing models and procedures to enhance or develop complementary solutions.

Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years experience in network system planning, configuration, implementation and testing.
English: Fluent

Preferred
At least 5 years experience in network system planning, configuration, implementation and testing.
Certified in CCDP, CCNP or CCIE
