Job Summary

In order to fulfil the business strategy the Director, IS - Asia is responsible for an IS structure and systems that are reliable, long-term financially viable and secure.

The Director, IS - Asia continuously strives to improve the added value of IS services and delivers IS solutions and services to optimize processes.

Be responsible for the execution of the Asia IS strategy and co-ordination of the best use of Asia IS resources, all in close co-operation with the Corporate IS team.

Provides coaching to the regional IS resources. Rresponsible for managing regional IS budgets.

Primary Responsibilities (Task, Duties Performed and Essential Functions)

1. Accountable for development and execution of the regional IS strategy including alignment with the Corporate IS strategy.
2. Co-ordinates the activities of the regional IS resources in order to optimize service levels, in particular focussed on reporting and information gathering in the Sales and Operations areas
3. Conducts IT Asia operations in line with a pre agreed budget.
4. Ensures that the Asia region has adequate recovery plans for key IS operations in place.
5. Accountable for continuous improvements that benefit the business. This will imply proposing new projects to regional management and managing implementation once approved. Seeks economies of scale wherever possible.
6. Ensures IS Asia is aware of all technological advancements and constantly assesses how PGI could benefit from them. This includes applications and system upgrades.
7. Contributes to the standardization of PGI Business systems and processes.
8. Participates in the review of global initiatives as requested and leads their implementation in Asia.
9. Communicates with the Corporate IS team on Asia IS issues, solutions and initiatives.
10. Identifies system and software deficiencies and implements corrective actions.
11. Accountable for compliance with all relevant SOX requirements, including pro-actively reviewing compliance procedures.
12. Accountable for the results of the regional IT initiatives and responsible for managing the regional IS budget.

Physical Requirements
? Light Work: Job involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc. are occasionally required.
? Occasionally: Job involves travel (overnight and internationally) up to 25% of the time.

Education / Work Experience
Education (Degree/Major): Master’s degree (Information Technology)
Certifications:Project Management
Work Experience
? 8-12+ years of professional experience, preferably in a large scale ERP multi-site environment
? Current management experience
Language: Good Mandarin and English
