Overview of Responsibilities:
The ICT Technician is responsible for support and maintenance in the following areas:

Network
？ Direct daily maintenance to ensure maximum reliability and minimum service interruption
？ Install software and operating system upgrades
？ Manage school wide e-mail and web site services

Client platforms
？ Set up, install and maintain PCs and laptops throughout the school, many of which will be Mac OS
？ Ensure standard configuration
？ Directly and with third party vendors repair and service the equipment

Software
？ Install and upgrade schedules for educational and business software
？ Provide technical support for school management, accounting and educational software

ICT security
？ Maintain a proper level of access and password control
？ Ensure data integrity through routine database scans
？ Back up network data on a daily basis

Telephone/Copy/Print/Fax/Scan
？ Add or change extensions as required
？ Work with telecoms companies to adjust service requirements as needed
？ Directly and with third party vendors manage the repair and servicing of equipment
？ Provide technical support as needed

ICT training and help desk support
？ Provide training for both educational and business applications as needed
？ Respond to teaching and admin staff requests in a timely manner

Asset management
？ Maintain an inventory of all ICT equipment and software licenses
？ Keep track of all ICT equipment

System analysis
？ Work independently to analyze problems and handle with issues occurred in the daily operation
？ Take over tasks in implementing and testing new applications


Other tasks
？ Support school assembly, performance, and activities if required
？ Provide ICT solutions for sophisticated demands such as media recording, conversion, storage, or processing


Skills and Experience Required:

？ Must have a minimum of 3 years ICT systems and operations management experience including experience on Microsoft platform and/or Mac OS platform server environments.
？ 1 – 3 years network management experience
？ Must be able to read, analyze and interpret computer hardware and systems management technical manuals and procedures
？ Strong personal skills to communicate directly with end users
？ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related computer field
？ Strong written and verbal English and Fluent Mandarin Chinese
？ Strong initiative, integrity and good judgment
？ Fast problem solving skills in new situations
？ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
